'Gosho' (Imperial Palace) Doll Named 'Midorimaru,' Owned by Byakuren Yanagiwara, Wife of Mining Mogul Denemon Ito in Iizuka, Fukuoka Prefecture


     Byakuren Yanagiwara, a former nobility, is known for running off with a younger state college student and successfully divorcing Denemon Ito in the Taisho Era (1912-1926), when adultery was still a crime.
