Hina Dolls Kept by Matsui Family, Chief Retainer of Hosokawa Clan of Higo, Now Kumamoto Prefecture, in Edo Period (1603-1868)


     The Matsui family dolls were originally owned by the Hosokawa family, and eventually 'married' into the Tachibana clan of Yanagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture.
