'Satsuma Itobina' Paper-Bamboo Stick Dolls, Unique in Kagoshima Prefecture, Owned by 'Sengan-en,' Traditional Japanese Garden in City of Kagoshima Operated by Shimadzu Ltd.

     Hairs of faceless Satsuma itobina dolls are made of hemp yarn, which is preferred by parents as a tough material suitable for wishing for the well-being of their daughters.
