Japanese Automakers Relieved with Lower U.S. Tariff

   Tokyo, July 23 (Jiji Press)--Japanese automakers were relieved on Wednesday to see the United States agree to lower its tariff on imported Japanese vehicles as part of a broader trade deal.
   The cut in the tariff rate to 15 pct from 27.5 pct is a "big step," a Japanese auto industry executive said.
