Toyota Group's Jan.-June Global Sales Hit Record High
Tokyo, July 30 (Jiji Press)--Global automobile sales at the Toyota Motor Corp. group in January-June went up 7.4 pct from a year earlier to about 5.54 million units, hitting an all-time high for the first half of a year, Toyota said Wednesday.
The data covered the leading Japanese automaker and subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co. and Hino Motors Ltd. The previous record high was some 5.46 million units, marked in January-June 2021.
