Irish legend Robbie Keane appointed new boss of Hungarian champions Ferencvaros

ロビー・キーン氏、ハンガリー王者フェレンツバロシュの新監督就任

Irish football icon Robbie Keane is the new manager of Hungarian champions Ferencvaros, the Budapest-based club revealed on Monday.
Announcement: Robbie Keane is the new head coach of Ferencvaros, the most successful Hungarian side announced on social media.
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Keane ended a decorated two-decade playing career in 2018 as Ireland's record goalscorer and the star of his country's run to the 2002 World Cup last 16.
In all, Keane scored 126 goals in 349 Premier League matches, 91 of them for Spurs, although he also had spells with Coventry, Leeds United and Liverpool in the elite league, and Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS.
On retirement he acted as assistant manager to then Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy, before joining the coaching staff at English side Middlesbrough alongside former teammate Jonathan Woodgate.
His first head coach position came in 2023 as boss of Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The latest chapter in the 44-year-old's storied career finds him taking over the reins of Hungary's most successful club, Ferencvaros winning their 35th domestic league title in 2023/2024.
