Work on the Phu Xuan Industrial Park, a 313-hectare project aimed at boosting hi-tech investment in Vietnam's Central Highlands, started on Monday in Dak Lak Province.

Located in Ea Dr'rong Commune, Cu M'gar District, the project was approved by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in late 2024.

It will focus on agricultural processing, supporting industries, and hi-tech manufacturing, aligning with Vietnams push for sustainable and eco-friendly industrial development.

The industrial park is being developed by KDI Group and is expected to attract hi-tech enterprises and promote sustainable industrial growth in Dak Lak.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nguyen Tuan Ha, permanent vice-chairman of the Dak Lak People's Committee, said that this is the fifth industrial park approved in Dak Lak.

Vietnam has set an economic growth target of at least eight percent for 2025, while Dak Lak aims for 12-percent growth between 2026 and 2030.

The industrial park is expected to play a crucial role in achieving these objectives.

Ha emphasized local authorities commitment to support the developer in implementing the project successfully and efficiently.

The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, was part of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, taking place from Monday through Thursday.
