Direct air route connects Da Nang to Uzbekistan
A direct flight from Tashkent, Uzbekistan landed at Da Nang International Airport on Sunday, bringing over 180 visitors to the central coastal city of Da Nang for tourism and cultural experiences.
The tourists were warmly welcomed by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, Da Nang International Airport, and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company with traditional art performances, mascots, flowers, and souvenirs.
According to Nguyen Thi Phuong, president of Prestige DMC Vietnam, this is a charter flight from Tashkent to Da Nang, jointly organized by Prestige DMC Vietnam, Red Island Company, Centrium Air Airways, and Uzbekistan-based travel agency Prestige Travel.
In the initial period, there is one flight a week on the route. Starting from June 2025, the frequency is expected to increase to two flights per week.
Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said that opening a direct route between Tashkent and Da Nang demonstrates the strong appeal of the Vietnamese city and creates opportunities to attract more visitors from high-potential markets.
Da Nang promotes tourism in Kazakhstan
From April 23 to 25, the Da Nang Department of Tourism participated in the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair to promote the city's tourism products and connect with partners from CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, which include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The CIS tourism market, especially Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, is growing rapidly.
With the launch of the Tashkent-Da Nang route, the total number of weekly flights from CIS countries to Da Nang has increased to 11.
Starting from June 3, Air Astana will begin operating direct flights from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Da Nang, with a frequency of four flights per week.
