Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 crown goes to Ho Chi Minh City beauty

Triumphing over 42 other contestants, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh, representing Ho Chi Minh City, was crowned Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 during the pageant’s finale held in south-central Khanh Hoa Province on Saturday evening.

The grand finale featured the opening introduction, swimsuit, evening gown, and question-and-answer rounds.

The panel of judges included notable figures such as Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie, Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 Nguyen Tran Khanh Van, Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 runner-up Vo Hoang Yen, Miss Universe International 2024 Ketut Permata Juliastrid, Master of Ceremonies Quynh Hoa, designer Le Thanh Hoa, and entrepreneur Nguyen Hoang Vu.

The event was also attended by international beauty queens from various countries and territories including South Africa, Cambodia, Colombia, Brazil, Thailand, Greece, Hong Kong, and India, among others.

The beauties wore ao dai (the traditional long gown of Vietnam) designed by designer Trung Dinh, showcasing the coastal charm of Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa.

From an initial pool of 43 contestants, the competition was narrowed down to the top 20, then top 10, and finally the top five.

Among the standouts were Truong Qui Minh Nhan and Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh, both of whom received strong audience support early on and were predicted to be top contenders.

In the swimsuit round, the top 20 confidently took the stage in designs that featured flowing back details, adding flair to their performances.

The top 10 included Hoang Kim Anh, Mai Anh, Do Cam Ly, Pham Huynh Thuy Tien, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh, Le Thu Hoa, Truong Qui Minh Nhan, Ho Nguyen Hue Anh, Nguyen Thi Thuy Vi, and Ngo Thi My Hai.

The top five contestants - Truong Qui Minh Nhan, Do Cam Ly, Nguyen Thi Thuy Vi, Hoang Kim Ngan, and Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh - proceeded to the Q&A round.

When asked how beauty pageants can contribute to a rising era beyond promoting Vietnam's image, Phuong Linh emphasized the importance of empowering women.

She stated that women are not only companions in progress, but also leaders in driving it, especially in the digital era.

Phuong Linh and Do Cam Ly from Phu Tho Province advanced to the final top two and engaged in a debate round, where they presented community projects and challenged each other with questions, showcasing their critical thinking and communication skills.

Ultimately, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh was crowned Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025, while Do Cam Ly was named the runner-up.

A range of special titles were also presented to other beauties.

Particularly, Hoang Vu Yen was honored with the Best Cosmo Carnival Costume award, Le Thu Hoa as the Most Popular Contestant, Doan Ngoc Tran as Best in Ao Dai, Nguyen Thi Thuy Vi as Miss Beach Beauty, Nguyen Thu Ha as Miss Bravery, Dao Minh Tam as Cosmo Social Ambassador, and Hoang Kim Ngan as Miss Photogenic.

Besides, Mai Anh, Pham Huynh Thuy Tien, Nguyen Dang Thanh Tuyen, Truong Qui Minh Nhan and Pham Thi Minh Hue were named Miss Sport, Miss Talent, Miss Fashion, Miss Media and Miss Congeniality, respectively.

Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh will go on to represent Vietnam at the upcoming Miss Cosmo 2025 international pageant in December.

Born in 1999 in Ho Chi Minh City, Linh is a graduate from the University of Washington and currently works for a major corporation.

She stands 1.75 meters tall, with body measurements of 87-65-91 cm.
