Japan Big Makers' Sentiment Improves: BOJ Tankan

   Tokyo, July 1 (Jiji Press)--Business sentiment among large manufacturers in Japan improved for the first time in two quarters, the Bank of Japan's "tankan" survey for June showed Tuesday.
   The headline diffusion index for large manufacturers' current business conditions rose to plus 13 from plus 12 in the previous March survey, the central bank said.
   The DI represents the percentage of companies seeing good business conditions minus that of those feeling the opposite.
   The current business conditions DI for large nonmanufacturers fell to plus 34 from plus 35, deteriorating for the first time in two quarters, the BOJ said.
   The business outlook DI toward September stood at plus 12 for large manufacturers and plus 27 for large nonmanufacturers.
