MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) said on Wednesday that it is confident that it would hit the P34-billion target revenue collection for 2025.

This came after the agency said in a statement that as of July this year, its revenue collection target was already at P19,738,874,899.06.

Based on LTO data, almost all regions have already collected more than half of their 2025 revenue target, with some of them breaching the 60 percent mark.

The agency mentioned that the revenue collections came from motor vehicle registration and renewal, driver’s license application and renewal, and other LTO-related transactions.

Meanwhile, LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II said that the agency raised the target revenue this year to P34 billion, from the P33 billion target last year, due to positive revenue collection in the past years.

“We raised the target because our assessment is that it is achievable. All that is needed is aggressive and proper methods to achieve it because when we remit a lot to the national government, it will also be a big help in programs and projects for our poor countrymen,” Mendoza said.

“TThis early, I would like to express my gratitude to all LTO personnel for all your efforts. There is still a lot to be collected but I am confident that we will be able to do it, just like we did two years ago,” he added. /das
